Beyond the Lab

Turns out you can't do research 24/7 (trust me, I've tried). Here's what fills the rest of the time — I'm a chronic hobbyist and proud of it.

Sport climbing. A beautiful blend of terror, strength, and performance while enjoying the outdoors.

I love to cook! Time spent cooking is my favourite way show love to my family and friends.

Sleight of hand and card magic. I love routines that happen in the audiences hand and don't always workout, their more fun to perform.

Grew up ski racing and eventually found my way into freestyle — park laps, jumps, and powder days whenever possible (Revelstoke has my heart <3)

I grew up street skating in downtown Toronto since 2005.

Competed in Super Smash Bros tournaments for years. The combination of technical execution and real-time adaptation scratches a very specific itch.

Pitched on varsity team in University. Spent a lot of time obsessing over the knuckleball — unpredictable and beautiful.
